The ISOCC 2026 Organizing Committee invites proposals for the Organization of Special Sessions as part of the 23rd International SoC design Conference (ISOCC) to be held in Busan, Korea from Oct. 11 till Oct. 14, 2026.
The special sessions complement the regular technical program by highlighting new and emerging research topics or innovative applications of established approaches. The topic of a special session proposal should be timely and compelling. While we welcome special sessions in all areas of System on Chip (SoC), we are particularly interested in focused research topics, specifically those related to the conference innovation themes as well as other areas focusing on challenging open problems of relevance for SoC scientific community. The participation of speakers from industry is encouraged and will be positively evaluated during the evaluation process.
Please note that once the proposal is accepted, the papers should be submitted on the online submission page. Special sessions are normally expected to have 5 papers. Please Note that all papers will be subject to the same peer review process as for regular papers.
Please submit Special Sessions proposals in pdf format by email to the Special Sessions Co-Chairs, and Technical Program Committee Chair.
Email addresses for the Special Session Co-Chairs and Technical Program committee Chair are listed below.
The Special Sessions proposals should be in pdf format with a length of approximately 3 pages. The proposal template can be downloaded from Call for Special Session on the ISOCC 2026 web site. Proposals should include the following information:
Propose a title and a brief abstract of no more than 100 words that will allow the organizing committee to fully understand the relevance as well as the focus of the special session.
Explain why the topic of the special session is pertinent and timely, why it is relevant to the SoC community and how it possibly fits within the innovation themes listed above.
Provide a tentative list of the papers and authors. The technical sessions are normally expected to have 5 papers. In exceptional cases (like industrial talks, or contribution by particularly renowned speakers), it may be possible to have sessions with double-time slots. Please clarify the rationale of your request.
Provide a short bio-sketch of the session proposers.
The criteria during the evaluation of special session proposals will be the pertinence of the topic, track record of the proposers and potential speakers, coherence of the session and expected value added to the overall technical program of ISOCC 2026. Notifications of acceptance/rejection will be provided by May 22, 2026.
